The Foyer to Osbee’s Art Collector’s Townhouse gives the family complete access to lighting, climate, security, and all the other technology systems of their residence the minute they come home.
A touchscreen mounted on an articulating arm greets them in the hallway. A low-profile multi-function keypad on the wall of the staircase is programmed to illuminate the path upstairs with one touch.
For a retrofit, Osbee can replace banks of traditional “dumb” switches and dimmers with wireless switches and keypads to reduce clutter.
At the entrance to this hallway at Osbee’s Enchanted Theatre, a small Crestron touchscreen gives the family access to all the lights, thermostats, security, audio, and video systems in the residence.
In Osbee’s Mansion In The Sky, single keypads throughout the residence replace banks of traditional switches and are programmed to give simple one-touch control of shades, drapes, and lighting presets to suit the family’s lifestyle.
On the upper floor gallery, smart home automation and control was crucial to managing the two-story shades and draperies.
The low-profile flush-mount keypad in the Foyer Stairwell of Osbee’s Entertainment Marvel includes a lighting preset to turn off all the lights on the first floor as the family retires to the second floor.
The open Stairway at Osbee’s Manhattan Penthouse features several zones of lighting, all controlled by a single keypad at the bottom of the stairs and another one at the top. The inaccessible window is motorized so that it can be opened and closed from any touchscreen.
The custom chandelier designed by interior designer Michelle Gerson is the focal point of the Foyer in Osbee’s Mod Manor, and is just one of the many fixtures throughout the home controlled via a centralized Crestron Lighting System.
The surveillance cameras and electronic door locks integrated into the system at Osbee’s Mod Manor allow the homeowners to see who is at the front door and grant them access from the wall-mounted touchscreen in the Foyer Hallway. The single keypad below the touchscreen controls lighting for four rooms.
