At this 10,000 sq. ft. Westchester County, NY estate, Osbee worked closely with the client, designer, and general contractor to realize a fully integrated technology system engineered for convenience, control, security — and especially — entertainment.

The Dedicated Home Theater transforms the basement into a Hollywood-caliber movie theater featuring a high-definition projection system, a 15-foot-wide acoustically transparent screen that automatically masks to the proportion of the video format being viewed, and a powerful 7.2 surround-sound system hidden behind acoustic panels.

Sound-deadening materials keep sound and vibration from extending beyond the room. Motorized black-out shades darken the Theater, the ceiling sparkles with fiber optic stars, and the custom LED alcove lighting can be set to virtually any color — or cycle through the rainbow.

Every Osbee Home is created specifically to meet the homeowners’ needs and desires. Once all the TVs are installed and speaker grilles are painted to match the walls, the finishing touch is a personal training session to walk through every feature of the system. With the Osbee Home app customized for every residence, learning how to control the system is easy and intuitive.

Ceiling-mounted acoustic panels and custom lighting scenes add warmth to the Family Room both acoustically and visually. Video, music, lighting, shades, and climate can all be easily controlled using a handheld remote, a touchscreen, a smartphone, or a tablet.

Osbee worked closely with the interior designer to provide the ultimate in smart-home function while complementing the aesthetics of the home. From low-profile, multi-function keypads to discreet temperature sensors wallpapered to match the surroundings, the technology in the rooms is barely noticeable.

The couple wanted a TV in the Primary Bedroom but did not want it to dominate the room. Osbee provided the perfect solution with an elegant mirror TV. When it’s turned off it looks like a regular mirror and the room appears to be totally free of electronics.

The Equipment Rack in a specially engineered climate-controlled closet in the basement holds all the equipment needed to deliver the wide array of entertainment options available to the family, including cable and satellite TV, streaming audio and video services, AppleTV, Google Chrome, Roku, Kaleidescape movie libraries, and much more. Controlling it all is the Crestron DigitalMedia system that distributes these multiple audio and video sources throughout the home all from the central rack, negating the need for cumbersome cable boxes and audio equipment in every room.
