Portfolio: Control Devices

There are four types of control devices used in an Osbee system:

Touchscreens

Touchscreens can be mounted on a wall or placed on a table-top stand, and are generally hard-wired to the system.

iPads and iPhones

Osbee can provide our custom app for your mobile phone or tablet.

Keypads

Keypads and switches provide local control of lights, shades, and in some cases, audio. They may also be programmed to control multiple lights and shades throughout the home.

Handheld Remotes

These are used mainly for control of video sources such as cable tv, AppleTV, etc.

Touchscreen

Touchscreens are usually hard-wired into the system, come in a variety of sizes from seven to 20 inches, and can be either wall-mounted or mounted on a tabletop stand – most Osbee Homes utilize a mixture of both depending on the room and the lifestyle of the family. Kitchen, Hallway, keypad, presets, Cameo, Crestron

Metal, Cameo, Keypad, Keypads, Crestron

Multi-function, programmable keypads replace banks of “dumb” light switches, dimmers, and shade controllers and can be an integral part of the design features of the residence. Instead of simple on/dim/off or raise/lower functions, smart keypads can control single light fixtures and shades, or multiple fixtures, shades, and lighting zones throughout the house. Presets might include “Welcome” and “Goodbye” that let the family instantly adjust multiple lights and shades as they leave the home for the day or when returning at night.

Each keypad can be configured with one to eight custom-engraved buttons, and wallplates are available in many styles and colors – or can be completely fabricated to the Interior Designer’s specifications.

Living Room, Media Room, Library, TV, handheld remote, shades, solar shades, soundbar, sound bar

Typically used for control of the video systems in the residence, handheld remotes are used to give homeowners familiar control of TV, movies, and other video sources at their fingertips, with the traditional on/off, pause, fast forward/back functions of TV and Cable remotes. For more robust functioning, remotes with a small touchscreen can give the family access to even more of the home’s systems.
