The Mod Manor

    • Osbee upgraded and integrated all the stand-alone technology and entertainment systems in this Westchester, NY residence.
When Osbee first met with the homeowners of this 12,000-square-foot residence, we found TVs with cable boxes everywhere, an outdated lighting system, and multiple banks of light switches and old-fashioned thermostats cluttering the walls. The home was loaded with technology, however it was missing the links to connect it all together.

The transformation began by connecting all the TVs and speakers to a housewide audio and video distribution system. We added surveillance, unobtrusive remote sensors to replace the bulky thermostats, a mirror TV in the Living Room, and motorized shades throughout the home. Touchscreens and iPads make the now-integrated home easy to control and fun to enjoy.
    • Osbee engineered a special mount to house the Seura vanishing TV mirror above the fireplace. When it's not in use, it simply looks like an elegant mirror.
In the Living Room, what looks like an elegant mirror hangs above the fireplace. But at the command from a handheld remote, touchscreen, iPad, or iPhone, the television picture magically appears.

Although it looks like it is simply hung on the wall, the placement and installation of this mirror TV required intricate engineering and a special mount to ensure adequate ventilation and chimney clearance.

    • The homeowners asked Osbee to create the Dedicated Home Theater with a dual design: For casual viewing and after-school cartoons, the wall-mounted TV is perfect.
    • On movie nights, Osbee turns the room into a fully-appointed movie theater. A 15-foot screen from Screen Research drops down from the ceiling. The Digital Projections 4K projector and Meridian 5.1 surround sound speakers create an immersive entertainment experience.

    • Osbee placed a Crestron TSW-1052 10-inch touchscreen on the counter of the Theater Bar.

A 10-inch tabletop touchscreen controls the modern pendants hanging over the Theater Bar as well as the rest of the system.

    • Osbee integrated electronic door locks into the surveillance and intercom systems so visitors can be viewed and admitted to the home from the Crestron TSW-1052 wall-mounted touchscreen.

The surveillance cameras and electronic door locks integrated into the system allow the homeowners to see who is at the front door and grant them access from the wall-mounted touchscreen in the Foyer Hallway. The single keypad below the touchscreen controls lighting for four rooms.
