The Entertainment Marvel

At this 10,000-square-foot Westchester County, NY estate, Osbee worked closely with the client, designer, and general contractor to realize a fully integrated technology system engineered for convenience, control, security – and especially – entertainment.

Equally important was the need to do it all without detracting from the aesthetics of the beautifully designed rooms. From the massive central distribution system placed out of sight in the basement to the tiny temperature sensors wallpapered to match the walls, every detail was specified to blend seamlessly into the environment, and in many cases, enhance it.

The Dedicated Home Theater transforms the Basement into a Hollywood-calibre movie theater featuring a high-definition projection system, a 15-foot-wide acoustically transparent screen that automatically masks to the proportion of the video format being viewed, and a powerful 7.2 surround-sound system hidden behind acoustic panels.

Sound-deadening materials keep sounds and vibrations from extending beyond the room. Motorized black-out shades darken the theater, the ceiling sparkles with fiber optic stars, and the custom LED alcove lighting can be set to virtually any color — or cycle through the rainbow.
    • Noted interior designer Pat Healing takes NBC's Open House NYC on a tour of her project in Westchester, NY, with home technology integration by Osbee Industries, Inc.

NBC's Open House NYC features a video tour of this Westchester County, NY residence led by Pat Healing for HB Home, the interior designer of the project. Osbee worked closely with the designer to fully integrate all the technology in the home including housewide audio and video distribution, integrated lighting, shades, security, surveillance, and climate control; and to engineer the Dedicated Home Theater.

    • Osbee improved the audio quality of the high-ceilinged Family Room by installing special acoustical tiles on the ceiling, finished to complement the grasscloth wall covering.

Ceiling-mounted acoustic panels and custom lighting scenes add warmth to the Family Room acoustically and visually. The lighting control system allows the homeowners to adjust the chandelier and table lamps simultaneously with the touch of a button.

    • Osbee includes comprehensive service and support for our Clients, including private tutorials on how to use and control the technology we integrate into their homes.

Every Osbee Home is created specifically to meet the homeowners' needs and desires. Once all the TVs are installed and speaker grilles are painted to match the walls, the finishing touch is a personal training session to walk through every feature of the system and learn how easy it is to control.
